England Athletics Masters Association (EAMA) Cross Country Inter-Area Challenge 2017
SWVAC has kindly offered to host the 2017 Cross Country Inter-Area Challenge. The event was first held in 2016 and hosted by VAC at Wimbledon Common.
The 2017 event will be held at Bournemouth Athletics Centre, Kings Park, Bournemouth BH7 6JD on Saturday 25th November.

The event distance will be 4.5 miles. Registration from 12 noon and the race will start at 1.30pm with presentations at 3.30pm. The event will be open to males and females aged 35 plus. Individual entries up to the deadline of 19th November. Entrants must be members of their Area Masters/Veterans club and be UKA registered.
Prizes will be awarded as follows: Trophy to the winning team plus certificates to the winning team scoring runners – the first 10 male and 10 female runners on the basis of age adjusted times.

Hi All. The long awaited Documentary from Selah Hennessy on the late Charles Eugster is scheduled for screening at 20.00 on BBC2 Thursday 24th, title The Pacemakers. She has been filming him and our other 80-plus sprinters for some time. I hope the Documentary does not disappoint. She has gone to a lot of personal expense. It should feature some of our other sprinters.

An exciting, though mixed weather, day with 16 championship records set in the field, 4 on the track with one track championship record equalled and a superb world record set by W70 Angela Copson, pictured below talking to Phil Owen, in the 1500m of 5:46.9! Well done Angela, an inspiration to all!
