I competed in the inaugural 5k champs 28th April. These champs were incorporated into the Mid-Cheshire 5k. My category is 75/79. I was listed in the results as a V70 in position 7th. Because this is incorrect I contacted the organisers! They understood my ‘issue’ and the results were amended. I’m now correctly listed as a V75 1st position. There can be no reason why the older runner is often not rightfully listed in correct category. Just the same as all the younger runners. After all we pay the same entry fees. The results service published weekly by Parkrun is second to none!
My question; Will the MMAC 10k on Sept 3rd publish results that will include all categories competing?
Hello Lindsay, the response I have received concerning your query is:
We shall do our best to ensure that all the age groups entered by MMAC members are recognised in the results.
Some Open Race Results programmes do not have all our 5 yr categories and this has to be addressed separately.
