MMAC 10k Road Championships

Last year we had 64 members take part in these Championships, which were also held within the Goodrich 10k at Wolverhampton and combined with the BMAF Championships. This was not matched this year as expected because it wasn’t the national event but we did get a very good entry of 43 members and a subsequent turnout of 40 members.

Winner for the second year running was Gordon Lee M40 from Leicester Coritanians in 32:33; Gordon was also the overall winner of the open race. Congratulations to him. In sixth place overall and 2^nd in our championships was Christopher Hollinshead M45, Stafford Harriers in 34:31 with Aaron Keene, Tipton Harriers M45 taking 3^rd spot in 34:44.

The team event was very poorly supported by the clubs with only two teams closing out. Local Club Wolverhampton & Bilston AC took the M35 Gold Medals with Long Eaton RC picking up the M45 Gold Medals.
