Please find attached below Track & Field Championship results from Sunday 4th June 2017 at Nuneaton. Thank you to all officials, helpers and athletes for making this year’s Championship an enjoyable event as ever. We could not do it without you!

An exciting, though mixed weather, day with 16 championship records set in the field, 4 on the track with one track championship record equalled and a superb world record set by W70 Angela Copson, pictured below talking to Phil Owen, in the 1500m of 5:46.9! Well done Angela, an inspiration to all!

MMAC TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS,  SUNDAY 4th JUNE 2017.

INFORMATION FOR ATHLETES
Thank you for your entry to our Championships.
 
Please find below a link to the timetable, which may be subject to change at the request of the Chief Officials. If this is the case for your event you will be informed.
MMAC TandF Champs 2017 Timetable
The first Events will be Men’s Hammer at 10.00am & Track Short Hurdles at 11.00am
Numbers may be collected on the day as can age identifiers for Walkers and 1500m / 5000m runners.
Signing in time for events 30 minutes before scheduled time.
Afternoon last time 4.00pm to enable times to be brought forward if necessary.
Medals will be awarded to the first 3 MMAC members in each 5yr age group provided they reach the standard as detailed in the table below:

Guests will also receive medals if they finish in the first 3 and achieve the standard.
Standards may be viewed on our website.
Records – if you think you might break a BMAF record or above please copy off a form from the BM website.
Overflow Parking on the field.  Refreshments in the Leisure Centre. Changing in the trackside Clubhouse.
 
Any assistance accompanying persons could give to support our Officials would be appreciated.

Dave McNamee Memorial 10k

From Anne & Norman Wilson, Beyond the Limitations:
On Sunday 2nd April 2017 we are holding the Dave McNamee Memorial 10Km Run which will be held annually. There will be a memorial cup which will be given to the overall winner of the race for 12 months.
It would be appreciated if as many runners from your club will turn out to run in this event in memory of Dave.

The Gloucester AAA have incorporated their 10k Champs into this race.

Many Midland Masters athletes will have known and liked Dave as the person who did so much for the sport through his tireless efforts for Cheltenham Harriers, the Gloucestershire AAA, ERRA and the Midlands Counties Athletics Association.

Dave had a long and distinguished running career with Cheltenham Harriers setting a half marathon PB of 71 minutes, and a marathon PB of 2:32, and it was during this time that we became great friends
Dave was my Assistant Event Manager of the National Road Relay Championships at Sutton Park Birmingham between 2001 to 2012.He also worked with me at many other National events including the British Athletic, England Athletics, AAA of England & Inter Counties Championships plus the Midland Counties Athletic Association Road Relay Championships.
Dave generously gave his advice to many clubs within the county and he selflessly provided a result service free of charge to many clubs within the county.
