MMAC Cross Country Championships 2019
Results, including age graded, for the Midland Masters Cross Country Championships incorporated within the Derby Runner Midland Championships held at Newbold Comyn, Leamington Spa on 26th January, are now up on the website Cross Country 2019
Many congratulations to all of the winners and well done and thank you to all those involved whether running, sorting out results etc.
Vouchers, redeemable at Derby Runner, will be awarded to all those top 5 in the age grades and team winners and certificates are awarded to everyone in the top 3 in their age group.

We hope many of you have entered the Midland Cross Country Championships on 26th January, thereby also entering the MMAC Cross Country Championships. The closing date has now passed.
Just a final reminder that our annual Colin Simpson Memorial Run will take place within the Centurian Grand Prix on 3rd February. There is still time to enter with the closing date being 25th January. See Fixtures
for details. It would be great to see many more MMAC athletes there! There will be prizes!

Membership Renewal, Cross Country & Results
Just some news and results regarding the MMAC 10 Mile Championships, Cross Country Championships and a reminder RE: membership renewal for 2019.

For 2019, the MMAC Cross Country Championships will be incorporated within the Derby Runner Midland Cross Country Championships at Newbold Comyn, Leamington on Saturday 26th January, details here (closing date 6 Jan):

and there will be no additional charge, to that of the entry fee for the Midland Champs, in order to compete in the MMAC Champs but you must have renewed your MMAC membership by 20th Jan…

Colin Simpson Handicap 2019
Please note the details and entry form for the Colin Simpson Memorial Handicap are now available on the Fixtures page. As per last year:
In 2019 MMAC is again opening the Handicap at no extra cost to any runner aged 35 or over who has entered the Centurion GP Series or the February race. This is subject to providing handicapping data by 25th January, on this or the Centurion entry form.
Unless you have already submitted a Centurion entry form and payment, please send the form below to the address shown with £5 (payable to Centurion RC) (£6 if paid on the day). This also allows entry into the Open Race with associated prizes.
Please do enter the 5 mile handicap, if you can, it would be great to see a good turnout on the day!
London Marathon 2019
London Marathon – 28th April 2019
MMAC will be allocated one place in the 2019 London Marathon. We will hold a ballot mid November 18 to award the place. To be eligible you must be a first claim MMAC member and have been rejected in the initial ballot. If no one applies with the above criteria we will open the ballot up.

MMAC 10k Championship Results
Please find the results for the MMAC 10k Championships, held within the BMAF 10k Championships at Trentham on 5th August, at 10k Road 2018

MMAC 10km Champs 2018 – Trentham 5th August
The closing date, of 29th July, for this year’s MMAC 10km Champs is fast approaching!
This year our 10km race is incorporated into the BMAF 10km race as it is being held in the Midlands, at Trentham, nr Stoke on Trent. The fee is £15 and there is no additional fee for MMAC. Enter via: bmaf.opentrack.run This is an individual championship for MMAC with medals in the 5 year age groups 35+ for men and If you are a member of MMAC you will automatically be entered into the MMAC championship when you enter the BMAF race.(There is a team event as part of the BMAF championships). Outdoor Inter Area Results 2018
The footie may not have come home but Masters Athletics has, to the Midlands!
Well done both MMAC Women and Men, winning the England Athletics Masters Outdoor Inter Area competition last weekend in Sunday’s blistering heat!
