The Home Countries International XC race will be held at Santry Park, Dublin on Saturday the 13th November 2010.
The criteria for selection are based on National BMAF events, especially the Cross Country Championships as well as the 5k & 10k Road and track championship races. Competing in BMAF rather than local events gives the selectors an opportunity to compare athletes over the same courses.
You MUST be a currently paid up member of MMAC to qualify.
An application form for consideration to be selected can be either downloaded from the BMAF website at http://www.bmaf.org.uk or from the MMAC website at http://www.midlandmasters.org.uk or from the link below.
Alternatively, send an sae 9″x 6″ (correctly stamped) to Mick Smedley, MMAC International XC Selector (England), 12a Bagshaw Street, Crewton, DERBY DE24 8TX for an application form.
All applications MUST be received by Mick Smedley (England only) no later than Friday, 24th September 2010.
Late applications will NOT be considered.
Yours in Sport,
Mick Smedley

This year the MMAC 10k Road Championships will take place within the Goodrich 10k at Wolverhampton on Sunday, 12th September 2010 starting at 10.00 am.
The event will also incorporate the British Masters 10k and an Inter Area Match.
We would like as many members as possible to support this race, which is organised by Wolverhampton & Bilston AC. I have set up a dedicated page on this blog for this event and will add more information in the coming days. An entry form is available for download on this page, together with some details. There is plenty of time to organise the diary… the date again is: –
12th September 2010
I know the Summer T&F season has hardly got under way but here is some advanced news for next Winter!! The “Old Guard Winter Competition” will once again be organised by Tony Crocker for some good old out of season contests. The first meeting will be held at Stourport on the 17th October 2010. The date of the second meeting still has to be confirmed but will be in March 2011.
Entry forms will be available later but in the meantime make a note in your diaries and watch this space!!
Please note that the 10,000m Championship event is incorporated with the BMAF 10k Track Championships taking place on the 23rd May at Horspath Athletics Track, Horspath Road, Oxford OX4 2RR. An entry form specifically for this event can be downloaded here…. http://www.bmaf.org.uk/fix/bmaf201010ktrk-entry.pdf
See also the “Track & Field Champs” Page.
Important:
This event also includes the 10k Track Walk
We have received a proposal that from 2011, the age groups for MEN replicate those for WOMEN and the age groupings under EVAA Non-Stadia Team Rules for Road events, namely:
M35-44 / M45-54 / M55-64 / M65-74 / M75+
It’s important that as many Clubs vote to make it representational as possible.

Anyone wanting to look at the results from the relays that took place yesterday should click on the “Road Relay/AGM” page where there is a link to download them.
The results of the walks handicap can also be downloaded.
