MMAC AGM

Please see details of the Midland Masters upcoming AGM below. Please do get in touch if you are interested in taking up a position on the committee. Motions to be discussed at the AGM must be sent, in writing, to the Secretary, Jill Lamb (jillchlamb@aol.com), to arrive at least two weeks before the meeting and ANY MEMBER WHO WISHES TO OFFER HIM/HERSELF FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE POSTS IS ASKED TO NOTIFY THE SECRETARY, Jill Lamb (jillchlamb@aol.com) BEFORE THE MEETING. MMAC December 2023 Newsletter

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all MMAC members and supporters, we hope you have a good one. The December newsletter – featuring news of national and international competition and a fun Christmas quiz, with super prizes, to enter plus upcoming events to enter – is now up on the website at Current Newsletter

Upcoming event details can also be found at Fixtures so why not start the new year’s competition off with the President’s race walk, a cross country championship or some indoor track & field competition!

Wishing you a successful upcoming year of training and competition. All the very best for 2024.

Midland Masters 10K Champs – Final Call!

Final Call for Entries!

1. You enter the KMF Newcastle 10k through their race website ASAP paying the affiliated fee of £17.80
2. You then email mattlongcoach@gmail.com telling me you have entered the open race and that you also wish to enter our championships. You specify your age category in the email.
3. The deadline to enter the MMAC championship event is midnight next Friday 8th September. Any emails received after that deadline wont be answered. You cannot enter the open race and then declare on the day you want to be considered for the MMAC championships as well.
4. There is no additional fee to enter the MMAC championship race. Your entry for the open race alone covers that.
5. On Saturday 9th September a list of all entrants to the MMAC event will be circulated to those who have entered and publicised online.
6. There will be up to 3 medals presented in each 5 year age category for MMAC championship entrants.
7. There will be a MMAC banner close to the finish area where medals will be presented as soon as the race is over without delay by an MMAC official

Midland Masters Track & Field Champs 2023

Just a reminder that entries for the Outdoor Track and Field Championships will close at midnight on Saturday 3rd June. 

There will be no late entries, as we need to allocate numbers and adjust the programme to reflect the age groups entries.

Some events like throws and jumps are meeting the entry limits but we have more flexibility on the track where it’s possible to reallocate the age groups in races and stay within the meeting times.

Already 206 people have entered 447 events, so it looks like it will be a competitive event.

MMAC 10k and 10 Mile Championships

We hope you are enjoying the current hot weather.

The Midland Masters 10k and 10 mile Championships are now open for entries and are to be held at Nuneaton and Rugby, within the Nuneaton 10k and Rugby 10 mile respectively.
