BMAF_OpenTrack_User_Guide

(If you prefer to apply by post, please contact the membership secretary via grahamhlamb@gmail.com or call him on 07790 495115. However as nearly all events need to be entered online it’s better to register online.

Once registered, you can then login to OpenTrack using your email address and the new password in order to enter all the required information about yourself.

It is important to complete all the sections including your interests and your Open Club data including EA Number.

You will need to send to me (Graham Lamb – MMAC Memberships Secretary grahamhlamb@gmail.com) a picture of your Passport to verify your date of birth and nationality.

Once all your information has been received and your subscription paid I can confirm your membership and you will be able to compete in MMAC and BMAF events

Registration is taken that the terms below are accepted by the applicant

“I agree to abide by the rules of the Club that may be in force from this day henceforth. I am an Amateur as defined by the rules of the governing body. I agree to my details being kept on computer by Midland Masters AC (MMAC); British Masters Athletic Federation (BMAF) and England Athletics (EA) to allow information to be sent to my home address. I agree also to allow verification by these bodies of my eligibility to compete in masters’ events”.

NOTE: We cannot accept membership until Date and place of Birth has been validated by an Official of MMAC.

If you wish to change your 1st Claim Club to MMAC you will need to follow the onlne process on the England Atheltics website

We cannot pay your registration fee if you haven’t left your previous club officially by this process or even if you left your old club over a number of years ago.

If you are not a member of England Athletics already, please contact Graham Lamb as we will need to agree with you if we pay 2021/22 fee.

  1. This whole membership scheme is far too complex for the average person and the thought of getting back into 400m seriously is being hampered by the thoughts that I am entering an archaic, antiquated system that uses closed terminology and is unwelcome and unfriendly.
Are there options for non-members to compete at any “open” events.

  2. I would like to join as a second claim club – do you know how long this may take at the moment?
Also, I do not have a passport as proof of birth date and place, would birth cert be OK?

    • Hello Narendra, what area are you from – do you have a local club you can train with? You have two options – you can join your local club (who you will train with and compete for – your 1st claim club) then you can also join Midland Masters Athletics Club, MMAC (2nd claim) at a rate of £15 for the year or you can just join MMAC (1st claim) for a cost of £31 for the year. See:

      https://midlandmasters.com/about-us/how-to-join/

Being a MMAC member means you can enter Midland Masters events, that are not necessarily open to non-members, such as the track & field and cross country championships (see https://midlandmasters.com/championships and https://midlandmasters.com/club-events) and you can also represent the area in inter counties (England wide) competitions.

If you are a first claim MMAC member you will be able to compete in the Midland Veterans Track & Field League for MMAC. If you are a 2nd claim member you will compete for your first claim club and will only be able to compete for MMAC if your first claim club do not compete in that league. An advantage of joining your local club 1st claim and MMAC 2nd claim is that you may get extra competition by being able to compete at seniors events for your first claim club as well as the benefits of being able to compete in the MMAC competitions.

I hope this makes sense and isn’t too confusing. Please feel free to get back to me for clarification of anything.
      Best Wishes,
      Sue

  4. I am considering resigning from my first claim club and if I do I would want to change my membership to include UKA, I assume I would need a transfer form?
