10 mile results and upcoming fixtures…

Results from the MMAC Championships held at Rugby on 3-10-21 have now been uploaded to the MMAC website. Considering the clash with the resurrected London Marathon, 11 MMAC runners made it out of the 16 entered and the M55 category provided a ‘full house’. Many congratulations to the winners, results can be viewed on the website at:

Dates for Diary…

The closing date for the BMAF Cross Country Relays is 20th October, the relays will be held at Long Eaton on the 30th October. These are open relays, so the teams do not need to be BMAF members.

It has 10 year age groups. The m35+ and m45+ have 5 in a team, m55+, 4 in a team for m65 & m75 its 3 in a team as it is for w35,w45,w55,w65.

In addition besides the BMAF chance of medals , there will also be medals for MMAC teams. To qualify for a MMAC medal at least one of the team, who runs, should be a MMAC member.

Team entries can be completed here: SportSoft Race Results – 2021 (race-results.co.uk)

On the road the 5k and 10K BMAF championships are on opentrack to enter. The 5K is at Nelson, Lancashire on 7/11 and the 10K at Gravesend on 21/11.

Once again we will have our MMAC Cross Country Championships inside the Midlands Cross Country Championships. We have also got agreement that the M65+ can run in the shorter distance race with the women. More on that when entries open.

We are currently working to produce a special newsletter to celebrate our 50th year of formation.
