Colin Simpson Memorial Handicap 2020


Ron Cattle, of Midland Masters, ran away with the Colin Simpson trophy this year in an actual time of 33:20 and a handicap time of 23:30 (photo below) while Pete Makepeace, of Knowle & Dorridge AC (not currently an MMAC member) won the handicap race overall in an actual time of 33:47 and a handicap time of 21:57 Steven Bunsby, of BRAT, took the fastest male prize with a superb time of 28:18 while Sue Kneill-Boxley, of Cannock & Stafford AC, took the fastest female prize in a respectable time of 36:52. Eight MMAC members took part in the event, 2nd and 3rd placed MMAC members in the handicap were Christopher McCann and Eric Robathan with actual times of 33:44 and 38:07 and handicap times of 23:04 and 23:27 respectively. Please do join us at this event, in forthcoming years if you can, it is a friendly sociable event well worth supporting in the MMAC calendar. There are excellent facilities at the college and refreshments served in the presentation area.
