  1. Hello, I’m sorry but I was far from impressed with the timetable change on Sunday of the M50 discus. I had 3 hours to kill between the shot and discus, so took myself off to visit some family members. I got back at 3.30pm for a 4.15pm start, only to find that the event had been moved forward by 45 minutes!! I had 15 minutes to warm-up, which is not enough, so ended up getting injured. When I asked the reason for the change, I was told the officials had had a long day in the field, and wanted to try to get an earlier finish. As I had come all the way from Lincoln, I wasn’t very sympathetic to this. Can someone please explain.

    • Many apologies Jim. We have been asked by the Meeting Manager to ensure that next year athletes are advised to book in for their events by 4.00pm to allow for progamme changes.
This is an established practice at national and international events when events are condensed at the end of the day.
Our Officials work to ensure that programmes are covered up to the last minute and Sunday was particularly onerous with the hot weather and shortage of Officials.

      • Thanks very much for replying. That sounds like a good idea, anything to improve the situation would be appreciated, I don’t really want to come all that distance again for the same to happen next year.

  2. Hi. Is the timetable the same as the one used last year?

  3. Hi the BMAF site is asking for a username and password to access the homepage. Any one know why?

    • Hi Chris, you need a username and password to enter events on the BMAF site and renew your MMAC membership. If you don’t have one already then go to http://bmaf.info/, click on ‘Member Login’ (top right) then click on ‘check your access alongside ‘First time users…’.

Let me know if you have any problems.

      Cheers,
      Sue
