BMAF Open Cross Country Champs

BMAF OPEN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016

With just under two weeks to closing date, entries are beginning to speed up for our BMAF Cross Country Championships. The facilities at Bath University are second to none, as it is the home of many of our British Olympic training squads.

We last visited Bath four years ago and the feedback from our members made it one of our most successful venues to date, largely due to its excellent facilities. The mildly undulating course is set in the fields alongside the University and although it is not a recreational type course, it is perfect for fast running. Our previous visit was greeted with pleasant spring sunshine and the athletes competed in underfoot conditions similar to a road race.

If you have not entered yet, remember entries close on the 1st of March, details are on our BMAF website (under fixtures column) and you can enter online or download a paper entry, remember there are no entries on the day. As it is an open event, why not persuade some other club members to compete as guests, they may enjoy it and subsequently join one of our 11 BMAF area clubs.

This year our date clashes with the Bath Half Marathon, therefore allow plenty of time to arrive for the 12 noon (Women and Men 65+) start.
