It is with regret that I announce that John Walker sadly passed away last night, Thursday, 19th June 2015, after a long illness aged 76 years.
John was a founder member of Centurion Running Club formerly Centurion Joggers in the 70’s and was a prolific organiser of road races in the area including the first World Veterans 10k & 25k Championships held at the NEC. He was also a prominent coach helping many athletes to achieve their ambitions. No mean performer himself, John always ran until a debilitating virus curtailed his activities.
John was involved for many years with MMAC and helped set up the course for the National Masters Open Road Relays held every year at Sutton Park.
Our condolences go to his wife, Janet, to his family and many friends in athletics.
Funeral details to be announced.

Midland Masters AC will once again compete in the Midland Veterans Track & Field League (MVTFL); South Division during 2014.

There are exceptions to the above; we can use 3 male & 3 female 2nd Claim Members during the season. Please check with your team manger or myself.
Communication is a two way thing; please contact your MVTFL Team Manager, Tony Porter, if you want to compete in the league. His contact email is firstname.lastname@example.org
We will accept mixed teams i.e. men & women if you cannot field enough names from one category.
Members who already have entered the GP Series only have to pay MMAC £3.00 for the handicap but they will have to pay the full £8.00 for entry to the Open race. We will then refund the £5.00. Please inform me beforehand so that I can arrange the refund. Email email@example.com
