You may be aware that two years ago I organised a marathon in Coventry which was run in 5 stages, part of the profit made was given to two charities for disabled children … well now I am trying something different. Refer to
colinkirkhamslondonmarathontrudge.blogspot.com
I am giving away my London Marathon medal, my t-shirt, foil blanket, runners bag etc.. To win the one of your choice you have to guess my finishing time!!! Oh yes, and you have to donate £1 for every guess.
Either donate to Just Giving/ Tim Tims Children Centre or Just Giving / Newlife.
Tiny Tims is a local Coventry charity providing free physiotherapy for disabled children, Newlife is a national charity providing equipment for disabled kids.
Never before have I asked to be sponsored … but my suffering would appreciate a bit of support.

Hello All,
Once again, I have produced a quiz to help raise some very much needed to funds for a second ground for my local cricket club. Having bought the land, levelled it, seeded it and laid the square, we are now in the process of b
uilding a pavilion and, although we will be receving some grants and will be taking out a loan with the ECB, we will still be about £120,000 short, which we have to find somehow. As they say at Tesco, however, “every little helps” and by purchasing a quiz, you could help us realise our dream. It would also help if you tell your friends, colleagues, etc about it.
As in years before, all the answers are the names of places in Great Britain. There are 100 questions and the closing date is 31st October. Whoever gets the most correct answers will win £50. Quiz sheets cost £1 each and may be obtained by sending a SAE and £1 (coin or cheque payable to Whittington Cricket Club) to me, Barrie Taylor, 23 The Spires, Lichfield, Staffs, WS14 9RP
Thank you,
Barrie

MMAC XC Championships, Droitwich, 23rd January 2011
It has been pointed out to me that there is a discrepancy between the team age groups published on the entry forms for the MMAC XC Championships in the Newsletter and that published on the entry forms which are on this Blog and on the MMAC & BMAF Websites.
The entry forms on the Blog & Websites are correct.
We are following the recent changes made by the BMAF Executive bringing the men’s team age groups in line with the women’s. These are: –
M35 – 44; M45 – 54; M55 – 64; M65 – 74; M75+ (depending on entries for this event M65+)
W35 – 44; W45 – 54; W55+ (depending on entries for this event W45+)
These will also apply to our Road Relays in April and the National Masters Road Relays in May. Any queries, please contact me on the usual numbers.
