18th April 2010 Please can you forward entry information to the Chris Hoy Edinburgh Half Marathon to all your club runners? Entries to the 2010 Chris Hoy Edinburgh Half Marathon continue apace with over 2,500 runners already entered, and a 4,500 entry now predicted. If you have not already entered please go to www.edinburgh-half.co.uk to enter online or alternatively print off the application form and post it to our event admin team. Usual discounts for affiliated runners apply. We look forward to receiving your entry for this fantastic, fast and flat Capital City Half Marathon. All finishers receive a New Balance Tech T-Shirt, Medal and Goody Bag. If you do not wish to run but would be interested in volunteering to help us on race day please do not hesitate to contact myself, Mike James (mikej@gbevents.net) or our course director Bob Lobban (bob.lobban@interloq.co.uk). All volunteers will receive a £20.00 cash in hand payment on the race day for Marshal support. All volunteers who agree to help out will also receive a New Balance Technical T-Shirt to the value of £15.00. RUNNING HOLIDAYS IN SPAIN
John Graham, the ex-international marathon runner from Glasgow, has written to tell me about the running holidays and running camps that he organises with business partner Frank McGowan also an ex-international runner. With a wealth of experience behind them ( John was second the fastest marathon runner in 1981 when winning the Rotterdam marathon in 2:09:28) an interesting and useful week or two’s training will be guaranteed.

VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON 2010
All runners competing in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon share the problem of how to get to the start in Greenwich/Blackheath in the early hours of Sunday 26th April and how to get back home again afterwards in a state of exhaustion. Couple this with the need to register at the Marathon Exhibition before the day and the logistics begin to look scary!!
