We have now received the Club entries and an independent draw by a BMAF official has taken place. Only myself and our Chairman knew of the numbers and identity of each member rejected.
I have written to the successful applicants and sent the entries by recorded delivery. I have also written to the unsuccessful members. I will post a list of the successful members later in the week when all entries should have been delivered.

A preliminary notice to say that I will be applying for Club entries shortly. Applications for places have to be in by the 20th November 2010 and the members chosen will have to get their entries in by the 8th January 2011. For those of you who are not lucky to get a place in the normal way, you will hear early in October, must get their evidence of “rejection” to me on or before the 1st November 2010. If I have more “rejections” than entries, I will arrange for an independent draw to choose the places as soon as I can after then.
Evidence of “rejection” must be sent to me, preferably by email (scanned copies) or through the post.

Patience is not my best virtue! Thanks tom
Any news Tom?
Have patience Nivette. I am still awaiting the results from the independant draw by a BMAF official. I will be writing to all the applicants whether successful or unsucessful by good old snail mail before posting the results up on the BLog and telling the ‘world’
Tom
Hiya Tom. When is the draw mate ????
Hello John,
I am hoping that I can arrange an independant draw as soon after the 1st November as is possible. I’m not sure whether by then I will have the entries through from VLM but that won’t matter. At the moment I have 10 ‘rejections’, the most I think we have ever had. Evidence from other sources also seems to indicate that “CLUB RUNNERS” are having a torid time trying to get in!! Or is it just a perception??
Tom
Just received my third rejection letter in a row 😦
Nivette, As with Ian can you send me your rejection and I will put you in the draw.
I now have two more “Rejections” making the total to date of 4. Any other “rejected” members should let me know asap but no later that the 1st November 2010.
Hi Tom,
I have just received my London Rejection letter 😦
Sorry to hear that Ian. Please scan your evidence of rejection (just to be fair) and send it to me. When I get the Club entries, I will arrange a draw if necessary. I understand they have scrapped the “rejected 5 times? You’re guaranteed a place” rule! Seems grossly unfair to me and loaded against the Club runner. I also heard today of a Club who insists on it’s lucky members, who get their Club Entry, obtaining sponsorship for a charity. I’m sure a worthy cause but again it’s against the Club runner. I’d never be a party to that idea in MMAC!!!
Any views?
