Celebration of the Club’s 40th Anniversary
Sunday 30th September 2012 at Tamworth AC
We now have a date and venue for the celebration of the Club’s 40th anniversary. We have booked the track and clubhouse at Tamworth AC for the afternoon and early evening of Sunday 30th September.
This will mark a special occasion for the Club and we hope for a really good turnout. Ways that we have responded to feedback on what would appeal to members include:
- We have moved away from the depths of winter and a late finish to make travel easier. We might even be enjoying an Indian summer!
- There will be a mildly competitive athletic element, with such possibilities as a Paarlouf Relay and a Walking race. What we can stage, including maybe some field events, will of course depend on volunteers coming forward to help officiate.
- The occasion will be family-friendly and we would love to see enough children (or grandchildren) to make a kiddies’ race possible.
- We have a venue that gives scope for a variety of fun and games, including fireworks, a BBQ if weather permits, and song and dance.
We will publish more information and a reservation form in the next Newsletter and on the website, but please put the date in your diaries now. As always with MMAC, we will keep the price very reasonable.
