Annual Subscriptions

Membership subscriptions are due annually on the 1st January

The cut-off date for paying 2012 subscriptions has now passed.

If you are unsure whether you have paid then click on the link below to view the alphabetical list of members who have paid (as at 1st April 2012)

Members Paid For 2012 as at 1st April 2012 ….. Members Paid for 2012

If your name is NOT on this list and you feel that you should be, then please contact me at mmac.sec@blueyonder.co.uk immediately. If you have sent in payments very late you may now miss out on a copy of “Masters Athletics”. All members paying from now on will be classed as “re-joining”

The current rates are: -

  • Members of UKA Clubs — £10.00
  • 1st Claim Members & competing — £15.00 (this includes the England Athletics registration fee)
  • 1st Claim Members not competing — £10.00

From the 1st January 2013 the annual membership subscription rates will be as follows:-

  • Members of UKA Clubs — £14.00
  • 1st Claim Members & competing (not a UKA Club member) — £19.00, this includes the England Athletics Registration Fee of £5.00
  • 1st Claim Members NOT competing — £14.00

There will be a reduction of £2.00 off the above rates if a member opts out of receiving the Newsletter (5 editions) through the post. Each Newsletter will be posted onto the website and all members on email will be notified through Clubbz when the Newsletter is published.

Members NOT renewing will be erased from the membership list after the 31st March each year

For new members joining on or after the 1st October, their subscriptions will run until the 31st December the following year.

Members keep their membership number for life and should state on the form if their membership had lapsed. There are separate forms for applying to join and for renewing/rejoining.

Application to join…. Membership Form V7

Renewal/Rejoining Form ….. Renewal Rejoining Form A5.V5

We have now introduced an option to pay your subscriptions by standing order. This will avoid the number of cheques to be processed and cut down on paper work. A copy of a Bank Mandate can be download and printed from the following link…. Bank Mandate A5

Please make sure that the form is sent to me, Tom Morris, Membership Secretary with a stamped envelope addressed to your Bank in the first instance. I will pass on to your Bank. This applies also to new applications.

If members set up their Standing Order with their bank online, then please ensure that you use your membership number as the reference number and once set up let me know by email. The address is mmac.sec@blueyonder.co.uk

It is very important that any changes in address, email address or Club etc. should be notified to me immediately so that our records and those of the BMAF can be kept up to date.

  1. Hi Tom, I’ve set up a standing order on-line to pay my subs on 10 Jan quoting my membership number as the reference number, once that’s been paid I’ll amend to 1 Jan for next year.

    Cheers,

    Bryan M (M3297)

    • Many thanks Bryan, I will add you to our SO list. When we have had the statement from the bank, I will acknowledge receipt and email a membership ‘card’ to you.
      Regards, Tom

  2. Have just done an online standing order rather than send the forms in, hope this is ok. Paul Lester

    • Hi Paul, Many thanks, that’s perfect. I have added you to the list and when we get confirmation of payment I will send you a membership ‘card’ as soon as I can afterwards.
For other members, this method is acceptable provided I am informed so that I can keep track and keep our records to to date.
      Regards, Tom

  3. The renewal & Re-joining form is enlarged and centred landscape on A4. We are then asked to rejig it to A5 or waste paper. I will send as is. I don’t find this website user friendly and avoid it, deleting emails as they arrive. Filling in the details below is cumbersome – I’ve lost the site three times so far and even though I am computer literate lose patience with this site. One star.

    • Hello Joyce, I’m sorry you rate this website as very poor. WordPress has many users world wide and filling in a comment should be perfectly straight forward. Our website gets regularly over 100 views per day and this is the first negative viewpoint I have received. Other comments appreciated.
Your browsing pleasure may be diminished by not using the most up to date browser for your system, I think IE8 is the latest for XP & IE9 for Windows 7, it’s important to check this out. Personally I use Firefox but Google Chrome is also excellent.
Your point on the renewal form has nothing to do with the website. It is designed to be printed out at A5 size, to fit my paper filing system. Most people by default use A4 paper, hence the instruction at the bottom either to use A5 paper (which your printer should recognize) or to print “actual size”. The latter can be set as a printer option before printing. My guess is that you have your printer set to print “fit the paper” which is why it prints full size on A4, thus using more ink! I have to photo reduce the copies that I receive like this to enable me to file neatly.
With regards the emails you receive. Unless you subscribe to receive notification emails from WordPress every time I post some news, you will not receive anything from this website and I know that you are not on the subscribers list. I assume therefore that you are referring to the email that I send out through the Clubbz site. Is this the site you have a problem with? Again, how you receive emails depends on your system but it shouldn’t be a problem. Clubbz enables me to keep all our members on email up to date with the latest news etc and will usually prompt a visit to this website to get full details. It is my main means of keeping members fully up to date and informed. It is important therefore to make sure that your anti-virus & firewall will accept emails from Clubbz, they are certainly NOT spam and I try to keep them to a minimum. Don’t forget, I am talking over 500 emails! Please don’t delete them before reading the content, if you do my job has failed!!
Hope this answer is satisfactory? If anyone else has problems then please let me know because my aim is to communicate with as many members as possible and let the world know of our activities.
      Best wishes, Tom
